Find us
The Cromwell Arms enjoys a quiet, countryside location on the edge of Romsey in Hampshire. It’s next to the Broadlands Country Estate, and just a moment’s walk from the River Test. Here’s how to find us…
By Car
Using a sat nav? Set the destination for SO51 8HG. If you’re without assistance, you’ll need to come off at junction two of the M27, then follow the signs to Romsey. The Cromwell Arms is the first place you’ll see as you reach the bottom of the hill - and there’s a spacious car park to greet you.
By Train
Romsey enjoys direct train services from Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Portsmouth, Southampton Central and Southampton airport parkway (the latter two are served by trains from London Waterloo). Once you arrive, the pub is 15 minutes’ walk. Come out of the station onto Alma Road, go straight over the small roundabout for Waitrose, and at the end of the road (at the traffic lights) turn right. Walk all the way along into the town centre, and you will see a pub called the Tudor Rose. Go past it and turn left down Bell Street. At the bottom of the road you will come to a junction - turn right down Middlebridge Street. Continue all the way along over the bridge, and then you will see The Cromwell Arms on your right.
Local Attractions
If you’re planning a weekend in Hampshire, The Cromwell Arms makes the perfect place to stay. It’s a great base from which to explore a range of local attractions, with the Romsey Rapids and the Broadlands Estate nearby, and Mottisfont Abbey and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens close at hand too.
